Matte’ (MAT-TE) came on the scene with vocals sparking déjà vu, taking listeners to a time when music made you feel good.
The first artist released on High Pyramid Records, Matte’ has received tremendous responses from audiences across the country and is now making her presence known worldwide.
A member of a large and talented family, Matte’s talent was recognized at an early age.  She was influenced by legendary names including Maurice White (leader of Earth, Wind and Fire), Al Green (for whom she sang background vocals) and the late Larry Lee (a blues artist and guitarist who gave her first-time studio exposure).  She was also lead vocalist for Lee’s group Larry Lee and The Boomerangs.
“I’m bringing a vocal style that is soft, sexy and really raw, but it’s all me,” Matte’ explained.  “I try to be positive and uplifting in my songs.  I want to inspire people to be better in their lives and in their relationships.”
High Pyramid Records, a groundbreaking label formed by Matte’, husband John “Kousi” Harris and son Neil J. Harris(ILL TRILL NEIL), is on a mission to restore richness on the airwaves by producing clean, spiritual music that uplifts people and can be appreciated around the world.
Matte’s first singles “I Still Love You and I Don’t Know Why” and “Hypnotized” were released in 2006.  “Hypnotized” was #1 on Internet radio and was awarded The Soul Patrol’s Best of 2006. Her album “Sincerely I’m Yours” will be released soon.
